 Mini Jayne Hat Pattern A ferret sized version based on the Jayne hat by ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} tvini.For the full sized version visit http://www.wearwithstyle.com Materials: Size US 4 DPNs and a small quantity of Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool dyed Golden Yellow, Orange, and Red Gauge: 4.25 sts per inch Directions: Hat CO 28 sts in orange, join and work in the round. Knit two rounds in K1P1 ribbing Knit three more round in orange Switch to golden yellow yarn and knit 8 rounds total k2tog until you have 4sts left, then cut yarn and pull through remaining stitches. Ear flaps Each ear flap is 8 sts wide, so you will have 6 sts in between the flaps on the front and back of the hat. Pick up 8 sts on the brim of the hat. knit in flat for 5 rows. Next Row: K2tog, k4, K2tog Next Row: P2tog, P2, P2tog Next Row: K2tog, K2tog Next Row: P2tog Cut yarn, and pull through last stitch. I added two more strings to the bottom for authenticity.
